1. About This App

This Privacy Policy applies to The Laundry Basket management app, which includes the mobile app and the web admin panel (together, the "App"). The App is owned and operated by The Laundry Basket, a laundry and dry cleaning business in Amritsar, Punjab, India ("TLB", "we", "us").

The App is an internal business tool. It is used only by the TLB owner and staff that the owner has authorized, to manage orders, billing, delivery status, employees and expenses. It is not meant for the general public. There is no public registration: login IDs are issued and revoked by the TLB owner.

2. Information We Do Not Collect

We do not collect personal data from people who install, open or use the App. In particular, the App does not:

• Track your location, or read your contacts, call logs, SMS or microphone.
• Use analytics, advertising or tracking tools, or show any ads.
• Build profiles of users or follow users across other apps or websites.
• Sell, rent or trade any information to anyone.

3. Business Records Kept in the App

To run the laundry shop, authorized TLB staff type in the day-to-day business records the shop needs. These records may include:

• Orders and billing: customer name, mobile number and address, clothes/items, prices, payments, discounts and delivery status.
• Staff and accounts: employee names, salary records and shop expenses.
• Login details: the login ID and password for each staff account.

These records are used only to run TLB: making bills, sending receipts, tracking orders and keeping the shop's accounts. They are stored on TLB's own server and can only be seen by logged-in TLB staff.

4. WhatsApp Receipts

When staff send a customer their receipt on WhatsApp, the customer's mobile number and a receipt link are sent through WhatsApp (Meta). WhatsApp handles that message under its own privacy policy. Each receipt link uses a long random code, so no one can find receipts by guessing, and receipt pages are marked so search engines do not list them.

5. How We Protect Information

• Only accounts issued by the TLB owner can sign in.
• Passwords are stored in hashed (scrambled) form, never as plain text.
• Manager accounts can only search receipts and update delivery status. They cannot see the rest of the business records.
• The owner can remove a staff login at any time.

6. Sharing of Information

We do not share business records with any third party, except when sending a receipt through WhatsApp as described above, or when the law requires us to.

7. How Long We Keep Records and How to Delete Them

Business records are kept for as long as TLB needs them for billing, accounts and legal reasons. If you are a TLB customer and want your details corrected or deleted, contact us using the details below and we will take care of it.

8. Children's Privacy

The App is only for use by TLB staff and is not meant for children. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with a new "Last updated" date.
